Lemuria Healing Arts is an ever-evolving company committed to supporting its clients on their holistic journeys through the use of aromatherapy, specialized bath and body products, crystal energy, color energy, individual consultations, Reiki lessons and private sessions, and energy integrations. We are proud to say that our products do not contain sodium laureth sulfate, petroleum by-products, cocamide DEA, synthetic colors or preservatives. We use high-quality vegetable oils, essential oils, floral waters, herbs, spices, fragrances, color energy, and plant essences. Our products are lovingly tested on humans (willing and eager family members and friends) and handmade with love and intention in Victoria, British Columbia.

Behind the Bubbles: Who Am I?
I believe in love, passion, and possibility. This core set of beliefs has sparked an unquenchable flame within me for learning and exploring. I have a tremendous enthusiasm for creativity. Throughout my childhood, I was constantly creating something. It never mattered what I created, be it an arts and crafts project, helping my mom out in the kitchen or making up my own games, I was just happy to create something with my own two hands and imagination. My creative desires were often exhibited on the stage in grade-school plays, musicals, and magic acts, as well as in the kitchens of family and friends. I love cooking and find it to be an immediate-gratification art form with endless possibilities. There are photographs of me as young as three years old standing on a step stool in front of the stove making dinner.

In 1998 while looking for my next project, I stumbled upon aromatherapy. I attended school to learn about essential oils, their properties, how to give consultations, and how to apply oils using massage. I completed school in the spring of 1999 and set up shop. I consulted and massaged numerous clients and loved it. I incorporated other healing techniques that I learned in my massage sessions. I felt that I was making a difference in someone’s day and I was honored that people would share their lives with me and trust me to be their practitioner.

My greatest inspirations have always been revealed to me in moments of deep relaxation and comfort. For as long as I can remember, the bathtub has been a friend, sanctuary for rest, and a safe haven for me. I believe that bathing is an experience and not just an act of cleanliness. I light candles, play music, make a cup of tea, grab a book and concoct bath potions using salts, bubbles, oils, and herbs. It was out of this passion for cooking, zest for bubble baths, and propensity toward natural healing that Mystic Chick Bath and Body Products was born. I do not think that I have ever taken the same bath twice. I am forever creating recipes for family and friends to aid them on their healing journeys. I am a nurturer by heart and it gives me great pleasure to create natural products that scent the body and soothe the soul.

Why Lemuria Healing Arts?
Lemuria is alleged to be the Atlantis of the Pacific and is shrouded in much controversy and mystery. The holy people of Lemuria were considered to be highly evolved and very much in touch with the land. Lemuria is folkloric and legendary, the basis that many dreams and quests were born from. It is a name that lends itself to curiosity and carries with it an air of mystery and spirituality. It is a name that invokes discussion. I believe that “Healing Arts” are practices that promote and support the body’s ability to self-heal. Lemuria Healing Arts is spiritual legend combined with the promotion of and assistance in self-healing.

Why Mystic Chick?
I have always gravitated toward things that involve the mystical and the magical. In addition, I have a sincere interest in healing systems and ancient cures. I have been on this magical quest for a number of years and have been involved with many kinds of therapies as a practitioner and/or as a patient. These practices include: Feng shui, crystal healing, energy work (Reiki, GeoTran™, etc.), flower and plant essence therapy, Aura Soma™, aromatherapy consultation and massage, meditation, Yoga, goddess energy, tarot, astrology, and numerology.

Looking back over my own journey I realized that I am a Mystic Chick, and that is how the product name came into being.
